check it out!

The SF Museum of Modern Art has free entry on the first Tuesday of every month, which, luckily for us, is next Tuesday, Sept 7!

Check out their new Fisher collection, which includes pieces from Calder, Lichtenstein, and Warhol, only available until September 17.

If you can't make it on Tuesday, be sure to head over to the museum on any Thursday night - admission is half-price! Otherwise, regular admission is $18, but $9 for students.

See you there!  I'll be the one in the red beret contemplating my existence and drinking an espresso.

introduction

As two twentysomething penniless college students, we are experts in living without money.

As I explained once to a banker who was attempting to sweet-talk me into automatic bill payments: "I live my life within the confines of 5 dollars.  Sometimes, on a good day, I've got ten." Insert winning smile here.

However, this supposed death sentence of All Things Pretty and Fun from lack of financial support does not require grumbling stomachs, empty, ugly houses with string on the walls, terrible fashion and general angst and unhappiness.  In fact, it doesn't have to be a death sentence at all.  It just requires a little more creativity, ingenuity and, occasionally, elbow-grease.

Which, leads us to this blog.  We figured we could chart our forays in this world of pulling something out of nothing for you, and hopefully, give some inspiration in the process.

We hope you enjoy it!
